GENEVA – Ruth G. Olsen of Pre-Emption Rd., Geneva was born in the Town of Geneva on December 25, 1918 to Albert and Grace Ives Alcock and died on (January 10, 2013) at home surrounded by her loving family.
Friends may call on Monday (January 14) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the DeVaney-Bennett funeral Home 181 N. Main St., Geneva. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday (January 15) in the funeral home with the Rev. Amy Loving officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery.

Ruth was a devoted wife and mother and worked on the family farm along side of her beloved husband, Donald. Ruth enjoyed reading, baking, country music and spending time with her family. She won many awards for her famous pies (especially raspberry and apple). She was a life member of the Union Grange 171 and President of the Ruth Watson Class of Seneca Presbyterian Church for a number of years. She was a member of the Seneca Presbyterian Church for 81 years.
She is survived by her loving children, Marilyn (George) MacDonald, Eleanor (George) Welz and Robert (Donna) Olsen all of Geneva; her grandchildren, Gregory (Michelina) MacDonald, Timothy (Pam) MacDonald, Kimberly (Jeff) Glazier, Robert (Connie) Welz, Eric (Jody) Welz, Stephen (Annamarie) Olsen, Michael (Erica) Olsen, Shelly Olsen, Laurie Pane, Eric (Kathy) Waters; her great-grandchildren, George and Joseph MacDonald, Olivia and Emily Glazier, Madisen Welz, Jacob, Zachary and Megan Welz, Alyssa Olsen, Michael and Matthew Olsen, Angerika Vasquez, Kimberly Gonzalez, Danielle Russ, Kayvon Irving, Angelina Castillo, Caleb and Kiera Waters, Kristen and Joseph MacEachran, and Sarah Pane; her great-great-grandchildren, Christopher, Jorden, Aidan, and Noah MacEachran. Her Sister-in-laws, Mabelle (Midge Woolsley) Kubrick of Vera Beach, Florida and Barbara Olsen of Geneva.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Donald L. Olsen; daughter, Joan Olsen; sister, Beatrice Alcock; her parents; her son-in-law, George MacDonald; and her brothers, George, Ralph and Richard Alcock.
