Cayuga: Auburn: Lamar T. Thomas Sr., 56, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Auburn Community Hospital.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no public calling hours or services. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Lamar was born in Buffalo on February 17, 1970, the son of Albert and Joyce (Leake) Thomas. He graduated from Burgard High School #301 in Buffalo and later worked as a machine operator at Tessy Plastics in Auburn, where he was known for his strong work ethic and easygoing nature.

He enjoyed listening to music and watching television, finding simple joy and relaxation in the things he loved.

Lamar is survived by his loving wife, Yara T. (Washington) Camacho; his sons, Lamar (Staci) Jr., Marvelle (Adriana), and Marquese Thomas; his bonus daughters, Danaye Maddox and Della Walker; his sisters, Syreeta and Jennaya Thomas; his brothers, Tasheen and Tyshawn Thomas; and his granddaughter, Isabella Thomas. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will remember him with affection.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert.
