Joan Verhow, 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Newark Wayne Community Hospital.

Joan was born on December 2, 1942, in Ilion, NY, the daughter of the late Frederick and Juanita (Clemmo) Allen. She worked as a secretary at Rochester General Hospital.

Joan is survived by her children Kelly (Craig) Thompson, Mike McDonald, and Jason (Lindsay) Verhow; her grandchildren Ashley, Nathan, Joshua, John, Izabella, Michael, and Leo; her brothers Fred, Grant (Barbara), and John Allen; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and several great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her sister-in-law Alice.

Friends and family are invited to her memorial mass on Monday, June 15, at 10 AM at Church of the Epiphany (St. Maximilian Church), 105 W. Main Street, Sodus.
