James H. Van Damme CANANDAIGUA - James Harry Van Damme, 66, of Canandaigua, died on Nov. 21, 2012, at Highland Hospital, after a brief illness. He was born on June 24, 1946, in Canandaigua and was one of six sons of the late Edward and Frances Van Damme. He was a graduate of Canandaigua Academy, served in the U.S. Army and attended Highland Hospital School of Nursing and Allentown (Pa.) Hospital School of Anesthesia. He became a nurse anesthetist who worked at several local hospitals, including Strong Memorial and Clifton Springs Hospital. He was predeceased by his son, Brett; and brother, Ed. He is survived by his son, Ryan; daughter-in-law Erin; grandchildren, Georgiana and Kiefer; daughter-in-law, Nicole; grandchildren, Cameron and Zoe; brothers, Bob, Jerry (Barb), Dave and Bill (Pat); and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Friday, November 30, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home Inc., 190 Buffalo St., Canandaigua.
