AUBURN | Jiacomo N. "Jack"Daddabbo, 78, of Genesee Street, Auburn, died Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Auburn Community Hospital. The son of the late Nicolas and Angelica Bianco Daddabbo, he was born in Gary, West Virginia, on April 26, 1934. A graduate of Auburn High School, Jack was a very proud member of the football team's undefeated season of 1952. He was the placekicker for the team and earned the nickname “Jack the Toe.� For 43 years he had been employed with ALCO of Auburn. He enjoyed sports and loved watching his son play sports, and more recently his grandson play. Jack is survived by his wife, Phyllis Burroughs Daddabbo; his son, Nicholas Daddabbo and his wife, Kelly; his three grandchildren, Tyler, Olivia and Cameron; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Daddabbo was predeceased by his two brothers, Peter and John Daddabbo. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m.Tuesday in St. Mary's Church. Burial with military honors will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fleming. Friends are invited to call on the family4 to 7 p.m. Monday at White Chapel Funeral Home, 197 South St., Auburn.
