ROSE - Joan Marie Hauser Helch, 82, formerly of High St., Rose, died Thursday (January 3, 2013) at Newark Manor.
Friends may call Sunday 12 noon to 2 p.m. at Boeheim-Pusateri Funeral Home, 77 William St., Lyons, where services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ellen Knight. Burial in South Lyons Cemetery.

Joan was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Dec. 15, 1930, daughter of Elmer and Maude Louise VanAntwerp Hauser. Joan had a variety of jobs over the years, including working in a tailor shop. She attended the Conservatory of music in Cincinnati, where she taught over 200 students accordion at Harmony house in Rochester. She loved music and had a great interest in Real Estate, where she worked for Nothnagle Realty over the years. She owned many parcels of rental property in the area. She lived in Lyons for two years.
Joan and Gus lived in the Rose area for most of their life.
Survived by two sons, Jon (Maria) of Rochester, James (Charlene) of Lyons; grandchildren, Candice, Carter and Jonathan; great-grandchildren, Kailey and Jace; sister-in-law, Martha Clark of Redlands, Calif.; nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband, Augustus (Gus) in 2006; her parents, brother-in-laws, Robert Helch and Olney Clark; sister-in-law, Carol Taylor.
