Savannah - Age 91 of Savannah, N.Y., died Tuesday (January 1, 2013) at home.
At Emory's request there will be no prior visitation. There will be a gathering at his home for family and friends Saturday (January 5) at 3:30 p.m.
Born in the Town of Junius on May 12, 1921, he was the son of George and Grace Nearpass Serven. Emory was a World War II Army veteran, worked at Seneca Knitting Mills, owned a trash disposal business and in later years farmed.
Emory is survived by one daughter, several stepchildren, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by wife, Rena Serven; parents; son, Roger of Las Vegas; brother, Mervin of Waterloo; sister, Margaret Spencer of Paris, N.Y.; and great-niece, Janice Serven.
