AUBURN | Charles A. Sears, 87, of Jarvis Street, Auburn passed away Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at Mercy Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Sears was born on June 14, 1925 in New York City. He was the son of the late Raymond Hatch Sears and Eva Campbell Sears. Charles proudly served his county during World War II, while in the U.S. Army 45th Division in Italy and France. He was employed with Finger Lakes Press for 39 years, as a journeyman pressman with Local 284 Graphic Communication International Union. Charles was a member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ and the Mynderse Rice American Legion Post 97. He enjoyed hunting, NASCAR, boating and the outdoors. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Beatrice Taber Sears; his daughter, Cynthia Ann Lemczak; his son, Leonard Sears; brothers, Richard Sears, Edgar Sears and Malcom Sears; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services for Mr. Sears will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South St., Auburn. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Fleming. Friends are invited to visit with his family from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at the funeral home. Donations in memory of Charles A.
