The odd one out this evening is Elmira — while Geneva, Auburn, and Canandaigua are wrapping up the day under clear skies at 80–81°, Elmira is reporting light drizzle at 81°, the last remnant of a cold front that’s been dragging its feet through the Southern Tier all day. That boundary will finish clearing south into Pennsylvania overnight, and by morning the region should be uniformly dry.
Overnight lows will settle in the upper 60s for most of the Finger Lakes — Geneva near 68°, Ithaca and Watkins Glen similar — with Bath and Corning dipping a couple of degrees lower, to around 65–66°. No frost risk tonight. Winds stay light, generally under 5 mph out of the north.
Saturday looks pleasant: mostly cloudy to partly sunny skies, highs near 81°, and precipitation chances that barely register — the NWS puts it at just 5%. Sunday clears further, with highs climbing to 82°. The bigger story develops early next week, when high pressure slides east and temperatures build — Monday pushes to 88°, and by Tuesday the region could be looking at highs near 93°. Stay with us through the weekend for updates on that warmup.
