Williamson Man Facing Multiple Charges Following Traffic Stop

A Williamson man is facing multiple charges after deputies allegedly discovered drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop Thursday evening.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, 26-year-old Kelvin Roberson was arrested following an investigation in the Town of Williamson.

Deputies allege Roberson was operating a vehicle while his driver’s license was suspended. During the investigation, deputies reportedly observed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

Roberson was charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, criminal possession of drug paraphernalia, unlicensed operation, operating an uninspected motor vehicle, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper plates and failure to wear a seat belt.

Roberson was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing before being taken to the Wayne County Jail to await CAPS court.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
