The Waterloo Police Department arrested four women following an investigation into an alleged assault that occurred outside a local business earlier this month.

Lamyjah Fowler, 20, of Geneva, Robyn Ortiz, 19, of Geneva, Layla Estrada, 21, of Geneva, and Ayana Hall, 22, of Sodus, were arrested in connection with the incident. The arrests stem from an older incident on June 2 in which police allege the four women waited outside the victim’s workplace and approached the victim in the business parking lot after she left work. Investigators said the suspects then engaged in a physical altercation with the victim.

According to police, all four suspects allegedly struck the victim in the head multiple times and attempted to cause physical injury.

Fowler, Ortiz, Estrada, and Hall were each charged with Attempted Gang Assault in the Second Degree, Menacing in the Third Degree, Conspiracy in the Fifth Degree, and Disorderly Conduct. Fowler was additionally charged with Stalking in the Third Degree.

All four suspects were transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility for arraignment and were later released. Orders of protection were requested on behalf of the victim.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
