A Penn Yan man was arrested Wednesday morning on an active warrant and is now facing possible additional charges after authorities say a suspected narcotic was found during the arrest.

The Yates County Sheriff’s Office says deputies arrested 55-year-old Larry Enos at a residence in the Village of Penn Yan at approximately 11:50 a.m. on June 24.

According to officials, Enos was wanted on an active Yates County Supreme Court warrant. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Yates County Jail to await arraignment.

During the arrest, deputies say a suspected narcotic was discovered in Enos’ possession. Officials say additional charges are pending the results of a laboratory analysis.

The Penn Yan Police Department assisted at the scene.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
