A Lyons man faces felony and misdemeanor charges following a domestic incident investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

William Turner, 30, of Lyons, was arrested on June 16 after it was alleged that during a domestic dispute, Turner applied pressure to the neck of a female victim.

Authorities state the action violated a full stay-away order of protection that was active for the victim. Turner was subsequently charged with Aggravated Family Offense, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, and Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree.

Following his arrest, Turner was transported to the Wayne County Jail to await Centralized Arraignment Part court.

He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Lyons Court at a later date to answer the charges.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
