On June 27, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Albert Webber and Chloe Goodman, both of the Town of Lyons, following a traffic stop on Rotterdam Road in the Town of Sodus.

Deputies initially stopped the vehicle and discovered that Webber, the operator, was driving with a revoked license. Goodman, who was located in the backseat, was found to have an active warrant issued by the Wayne County Court.

Prior to the vehicle being towed from the scene, deputies conducted an inventory search and located suspected crack cocaine along with packaging material used for the sale of narcotic drugs. Goodman was arrested on her active warrant and transported for arraignment. During the investigation, Webber was transported to Newark-Wayne Hospital for medical issues.

Following the incident, the Wayne County Court issued a bench warrant for Webber on Thursday regarding prior charges from narcotics investigations.

On Monday, deputies arrested Webber on the bench warrant for failing to appear in court regarding the original charges. Additionally, he was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree with Intent to Sell, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance for Possession of One-Eighth Ounce or More, and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree stemming from the June 27 traffic stop. Webber appeared in Wayne County Court on Monday to answer the charges.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Wayne County District Attorney’s Office and local citizens throughout the investigation.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
