A Canandaigua woman was arrested Sunday night following a traffic stop on State Route 332 at Canandaigua Farmington Townline Road.

Authorities report that 67-year-old Sally Belcher was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over for an unrelated traffic offense at approximately 11:53 p.m. Upon verifying her identity, law enforcement confirmed that Belcher had an active arrest warrant issued out of Ontario County.

The warrant was originally issued in January 2025 by Judge Jones in the Town of Canandaigua Court regarding a charge of Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, as authorities were unable to locate her at the time of the initial offense.

Belcher was taken into custody and transferred to the Ontario County Jail for processing, where she was held for centralized arraignment.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
