Three Canandaigua residents face drug possession charges following a Sunday night traffic stop on Canandaigua Farmington Townline Road.

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that 59-year-old Joseph Beyea, 58-year-old Scott Smail, and 67-year-old Sally Belcher were arrested at approximately 11:00 p.m.  The arrests were made after a routine traffic stop led to the discovery of 6.75 grams of presumptive crack cocaine and approximately 0.5 grams of presumptive fentanyl inside the vehicle.

All three individuals have been charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree.

Beyea, Smail, and Belcher were transported to the Ontario County Jail, where they were held pending arraignment.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
