Summerhill Man Facing Aggravated Family Offense Charges

On Thursday, a Summerhill resident was arrested following an incident investigated by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.

Norman Dewitt, 30, was taken into custody at approximately 7:35 a.m. by Deputy Harkness. Dewitt is accused of Aggravated Family Offense and Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree after he allegedly disobeyed a court order.

Dewitt was processed on the charges, which are to be answered in Summerhill Town Court.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
