On Saturday, a Rochester man was arrested on felony and misdemeanor charges following a traffic stop in the Town of Jerusalem.
Yates County Sheriff’s Deputies stopped 64-year-old David Lee on State Route 54A at approximately 10:00 p.m. for allegedly operating a vehicle with no or inadequate plate lamps. During the stop, deputies observed several signs of intoxication and placed Lee through standardized field sobriety tests.
A check through the Department of Motor Vehicles revealed that Lee’s driver’s license was revoked due to prior driving while intoxicated convictions.
Lee was taken into custody and transported to the Yates County Jail, where he provided a chemical breath sample and was held for Centralized Arraignment Part court.
He was charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the first degree, driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content of .08% or greater, and operating a vehicle with no or inadequate plate lamps.
