On Sunday, deputies from the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kenneth Young III, 39, of Niles, following a domestic incident investigation.
Young was charged with Menacing in the Third Degree, Menacing in the Second Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree.
The arrest stems from a response to a reported domestic disturbance at a Niles address on Saturday evening. Investigators determined Young allegedly menaced the victim with his fist and a hockey puck, placing her in fear for her safety. Young fled the scene in a motor vehicle before law enforcement arrived after learning police had been contacted.
Following a search through the night and an issued arrest warrant, Young turned himself in at the Public Safety Building on Sunday morning. He was processed, arraigned, and released on his own recognizance.
Young is scheduled to appear in the Town of Niles Court on August 6.
