On Saturday, a Pulteney woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop in the Town of Jerusalem.
Yates County Sheriff’s Deputies stopped a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Sierra Anderson on State Route 54A at approximately 11 p.m. after observing that the vehicle was operating with an inadequate passenger-side headlamp. During the stop, deputies noted that Anderson displayed signs of intoxication.
Anderson was subjected to standardized field sobriety tests and subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated. She was transported to the Yates County Jail, where she provided a valid breath sample.
She was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content over .08%, and operating a vehicle with inadequate headlamps.
Anderson was released and is scheduled to appear in Jerusalem Town Court at a later date.
