On Wednesday, a Penn Yan man was arrested by the Penn Yan Police Department on an outstanding warrant and an additional charge following a compliance investigation.

Thomas Gordon, 41, of Penn Yan, was taken into custody on a parole warrant and subsequently charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration. According to authorities, Gordon allegedly failed to comply with the conditions of his parole by failing to charge and maintain his New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision ankle monitor.

Following his arrest, Gordon was transported to the Yates County Jail to await arraignment.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
