On Monday, Ontario County Deputies arrested an Orchard Park man following a traffic stop in the City of Canandaigua.

Robert Strauch, 35, was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated. According to law enforcement, deputies witnessed Strauch allegedly driving the wrong way down a one-way road before crossing over a grass median into the opposite lane of traffic on State Route 5 and 20.

Following standardized field sobriety tests, it was determined that Strauch was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ontario County Jail, where he submitted to a Datamaster DMT chemical breath test. The test revealed a blood alcohol content of 0.22%.

Strauch was issued several Uniform Traffic Tickets and is scheduled to appear in the City of Canandaigua Court on July 31st at 8:30 a.m. to answer the charges.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
