On Monday, two inmates at the Yates County Jail were charged following an investigation into contraband inside the facility.
Gary Fuller, 31, and Rabah Rashad, 33, both of Rochester, were charged with two counts each of Promoting Prison Contraband in the Second Degree. Fuller was additionally charged with Harassment in the Second Degree.
According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, deputies assisted corrections staff after an officer observed an incarcerated individual pass suspected contraband to another inmate on July 6. A subsequent search revealed the individual had contraband.
