On Monday, the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested a Newark man following an investigation into the promotion of obscene sexual material involving a child.
Julian Webber, 19, was charged with promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child and promoting a sexual performance by a child, both class D felonies.
The charges stem from an investigation that began on July 19. Investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in the Village of Newark, where they allegedly recovered evidence related to the sexual performance of a child under the age of 16.
Webber was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility, where he was arraigned and remanded on bail. Orders of protection were issued on behalf of the victims. Police noted that the investigation remains active and additional charges are anticipated.
The Seneca Falls Police Department was assisted during the execution of the search warrant and arrest by the Village of Newark Police Department.
