On Friday, State Police arrested a Bath resident following a child exploitation investigation conducted by the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, SP Bath, and the Troop E Computer Crimes Unit.
Daniel White, age 32, was taken into custody without incident following an investigation that began in April 2024, when State Police received information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding the online sharing of child sexual abuse material through a social media platform. The inquiry led investigators to a residence located in the town of Bath.
On February 25, 2025, members of the New York State Police seized multiple electronic devices for forensic examination. A subsequent analysis conducted at the New York State Police Computer Forensics Laboratory confirmed the presence of approximately 1,555 images and videos of child sexual abuse material across several devices.
White was charged with Possession of a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class E felony.
He was processed at SP Bath and transported to the Steuben County Jail for Centralized Arraignment Part arraignment.
