On Monday afternoon, deputies with the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Newark man following a welfare check in the Town of Canandaigua.
Deputies responded to Horizons on State Route 21 around 4:15 p.m. after receiving a report of a male who was passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle. Upon investigation, deputies determined that 29-year-old Jacob Manno had allegedly operated the vehicle while his ability was impaired by drugs.
Manno was taken into custody and charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs.
He was issued uniform traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
