On Saturday, deputies of the Wayne County Sheriffβs Office arrested a 38-year-old Town of Lyons woman stemming from an investigation into an incident that occurred in June.
Authorities arrested Alisha Abbott of Spencer Street around 4:00 p.m. at a residence in the Town of Lyons. Investigators allege that during a June 10th encounter on Spencer Street, Abbott, while aided by two other individuals, struck a victim multiple times, causing injury. She is further accused of choking the victim, ripping his shirt, and forcibly taking his phone while the victim was attempting to call 911.
Abbott was charged with Robbery in the Second Degree, Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, Assault in the Third Degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth Degree, and two counts of Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree.
She was transported to the Wayne County Jail to await centralized arraignment.
