On Friday, deputies of the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 34-year-old Canandaigua woman following an investigation prompted by a county Department of Social Services fraud referral.
Investigators allege Shameika Brown-Junious failed to disclose income she earned by creating content on OnlyFans between January 2023 and June 2026. Authorities stated that she would have received $17,656.58 less in Temporary Assistance and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits if that income had been properly reported.
Brown-Junious was charged with seven counts of Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the First Degree, along with one count each of Welfare Fraud in the Third Degree and Grand Larceny in the Third Degree.
She was held for arraignment and is scheduled to answer the charges in Hopewell Town Court at a later date.
