A Lyons man is facing additional charges after deputies say he violated a court-issued order of protection earlier this month.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says 30-year-old William Turner was arrested June 26 while being held at the Wayne County Jail on unrelated charges.

According to deputies, the arrest stems from an incident on June 10 at a residence on William Street in the Town of Lyons. Following an investigation, authorities determined Turner had violated a full stay-away order of protection that was issued in 2023.

Turner was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense.

He was held at the Wayne County Jail pending a CAP arraignment.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
