A Lyons man is facing multiple charges after the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office investigated a domestic incident that allegedly occurred while a child was in the vehicle.

Deputies arrested 22-year-old Tony Pierre following an investigation into an incident on June 24.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Pierre allegedly spit in the victim’s face while the victim was driving a vehicle. Investigators say he also punched the vehicle’s stereo screen, rendering it inoperable, while a 4-year-old child was inside the vehicle.

Pierre was charged with second-degree harassment, fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree reckless endangerment, and endangering the welfare of a child.

He was transported to the Wayne County Jail to await a CAP arraignment and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Lyons Court at a later date to answer the charges.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
