Arcadia Couple Charged With Animal Cruelty

An Arcadia couple is facing animal cruelty charges after an investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrested Jerry Martin and Charisma Martin, both of Arcadia.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the couple is accused of failing to provide adequate shelter, food, and water to animals in their care.

Jerry and Charisma Martin were each issued appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in Arcadia Town Court on July 15 to answer the charges.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
