A Sodus man is facing drunken driving charges after deputies say he crashed into a parked vehicle in the Town of Arcadia.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a crash on Route 88 on June 20 and found that 22-year-old Rayquan Baldwin had allegedly struck an unoccupied vehicle that was legally parked along the side of the road.

According to deputies, Baldwin was not injured in the crash. During the investigation, deputies observed signs of intoxication and administered standardized field sobriety tests before placing him under arrest.

Baldwin was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content of .08% or higher, moving from a lane unsafely, possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and operating an uninspected vehicle.

Deputies say Baldwin later submitted to a chemical breath test that measured a blood alcohol content of 0.11%. He was processed at the Wayne County Jail and later released. Baldwin is scheduled to appear in Arcadia Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
