Newfield Woman Arrested for Grand Larceny in Schuyler County

A Newfield woman was arrested by the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office following a vehicle theft investigation.

Deputies arrested Meranda Sayre, 31, of Newfield, who is accused of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Grand Larceny in the Third Degree. The arrest stemmed from a complaint received regarding an incident on State Route 14 in the Town of Montour on June 11.

Following her arrest, Sayre was arraigned in Schuyler County Centralized Arraignment Part Court and released.

She is scheduled to appear in the Town of Montour Court at a later date to answer the charges.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
