A Farmington man faces multiple traffic violations following an investigation into a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred earlier this month in the Town of Hopewell.

On Friday, Aaron Shahin, 25, was issued traffic tickets after authorities investigated a fatal collision that took place on July 11 outside the Econo Lodge on State Route 5 and 20. Investigators determined that the cause of the crash was a failure to yield to traffic by the pedestrian involved.

Shahin was cited for operating a vehicle with improper plates, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, driving an unregistered motor vehicle, and operating an uninspected motor vehicle.

The tickets are returnable to the Hopewell Town Court at a later date.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
