On Wednesday, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Clyde woman following an investigation into a domestic dispute.
Robin Elia was taken into custody after deputies responded to a report of a disturbance on John Street in the Village of Clyde. It is alleged that during the investigation, Elia falsely reported to Wayne County 911 dispatchers and deputies on the scene that a gun had been pointed at her during an altercation with her ex-boyfriend.
As a result of the investigation, Elia was charged with Falsely Reporting an Incident in the Third Degree.
Elia was transported to the Wayne County Jail for centralized arraignment and is scheduled to appear in the Village of Clyde Court at a later date to answer the charge.
