On Sunday, Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Canandaigua man following a traffic stop in the Town of Hopewell.

Deputies initiated the stop at approximately 2:35 a.m. on County Road 10 after observing a vehicle stopped in the lane of travel at a stop sign with the operator asleep at the wheel. The driver was identified as 66-year-old Guy Green. Following an investigation, deputies determined that Green was allegedly operating the vehicle while impaired.

Green was arrested and issued uniform traffic tickets for Driving While Intoxicated by Drugs and Stopping or Parking on a Highway.

He was released and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Hopewell Court at a later date to answer the charges.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
