On Friday, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 28-year-old Macedon woman following an investigation into welfare fraud in the Town of Lyons.

Deputies arrested Raven Wilson for Misuse of Food Stamps and Petit Larceny. The charges stem from a joint investigation by the Wayne County Department of Social Services and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. It is alleged that Wilson allowed another person to use her Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefit card to purchase food items without authorization.

Wilson was transported to the Wayne County Jail for processing and released on an appearance ticket.

She is scheduled to appear in Lyons Town Court on July 14, at 8:30 AM to answer the charges.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
