On Saturday, Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck reported the arrest of an Auburn woman following a report of a vehicle in a ditch in the Town of Brutus.

Andrea Beagle, 44, was arrested on July 11 and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, and Moving from Lane Unsafely.

Deputies responded to the area of Cooper Road and Stevens Road at approximately 9:56 PM. Upon arrival, deputies began an investigation to determine if Beagle was intoxicated. Beagle allegedly failed roadside field sobriety tests administered by deputies.

Beagle was taken into custody and transported to the Public Safety Building, where she allegedly provided a breath sample revealing a 0.20% blood alcohol content.

She was released with traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Brutus Court on July 21 at 7:00 PM.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
