On Tuesday afternoon, a 15-year-old juvenile was arrested by police following a menacing investigation.

The Town of Seneca Falls Police Department took the juvenile into custody after it was determined that on a separate date, the 15-year-old had allegedly displayed what appeared to be a handgun and pointed it into a victim’s residence. The weapon was later recovered by officers and determined to be a BB gun.

The juvenile was charged with one count of Menacing in the Second Degree, a misdemeanor.

Following the arrest, the juvenile was issued an appearance ticket and is expected to report to Seneca County Probation at a later date to answer to the charge.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
