On Saturday, Auburn Police arrested Kurt Blim following a traffic stop on Garrow Street.
At approximately 4:20 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a motorist make a wide turn and fail to keep right. During the stop, the officer observed signs of alcohol consumption from Blim. Following field sobriety tests, Blim was arrested and transported to Auburn Police Department headquarters, where he was read DWI warnings and subsequently refused to submit to a breath test.
A review of Blim’s driving record revealed a previous DWI conviction within the past 10 years, upgrading the offense to a felony. He was charged with felony driving while intoxicated with a prior conviction, as well as infractions for failure to keep right and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Blim was processed and released on traffic tickets.
