An Auburn man was taken into custody Monday morning on an outstanding arrest warrant.

Jeremy Smith was arrested by Cayuga County Sheriff’s deputies at approximately 8:40 a.m. The 27-year-old was taken into custody for failing to appear in court regarding the original charges tied to the warrant.

He was processed and turned over to the appropriate court for further proceedings.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
