An Auburn man is facing felony and misdemeanor charges following a reported domestic incident earlier this month at the Oak Creek Townhouses.

The Auburn Police Department says officers were called to 101 Quill Ave. on June 21 at approximately 10:48 a.m. for a report of a domestic dispute with injuries.

According to police, the incident began as an altercation between two women when 30-year-old Anthony Stokes Sr. allegedly became involved. Investigators say Stokes grabbed the victim, threw her to the ground, and later pushed her against a vehicle, causing her head to strike the car. Police say the victim sustained injuries as a result.

Authorities say the victim is protected under a stay-away order of protection involving Stokes.

Police also say a child shared by both individuals witnessed the incident.

Stokes was arrested and charged with aggravated criminal contempt, assault in the third degree, and endangering the welfare of a child. He was transported to the Cayuga County Jail, where he was held pending arraignment.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
