One person was airlifted to Syracuse following an ATV crash in Cayuga County on Monday.
The Throop Fire Department announced that its members, along with Auburn City Ambulance, were dispatched to Donovan Road for the report of two individuals injured in an ATV crash.
Upon arrival, responders determined one patient suffered a head injury and needed rapid transportation to the Syracuse Trauma Hospital. An airlift from Life Net was requested, and members of the Aurelius Fire Department established a landing zone at the end of the fire station.
The second patient was taken by ambulance to SUNY Upstate Trauma Center for their injuries.
Cayuga County 911 and State Police were on the scene to investigate. No additional details were immediately available.
