New York State Police have corrected the location of a bus crash that injured several people Tuesday, confirming the incident occurred in the Town of Plattekill, Ulster County.
Authorities said approximately 17 passengers who were not injured are being transported to a nearby reunification center. Passengers who suffered injuries have been taken to local hospitals or are continuing to be evaluated at the scene. State Police said no life-threatening injuries have been reported.
The crash continues to impact traffic on the New York State Thruway. The left lane in both the southbound and northbound directions remains closed, while one lane is open in each direction.
Motorists should expect approximately four-mile delays southbound and three-mile delays northbound as heavy-duty tow trucks work to remove the vehicle.
Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
