Stalled Front Keeps Rain in the Forecast Through Tuesday

Scattered light drizzle is still finding its way across the southern valleys this evening — the stalled frontal zone that’s been draped south of the region all day isn’t going anywhere fast. Overnight, expect skies to remain overcast with patchy drizzle possible, particularly from Corning and Elmira northward through Watkins Glen. Lows will settle in the mid-to-upper 60s regionwide — no frost concern tonight. No NWS alerts are in effect.

Tomorrow, the frontal zone holds, keeping Monday unsettled, especially across southern areas. Watkins Glen and the Corning corridor can expect the most persistent drizzle through midday. Highs stay modest, topping near 76° in Geneva. Some drier air nudges in Tuesday night as the front finally drifts further southeast, setting up a clearing trend. Wednesday looks like the bright spot: mainly clear skies and highs near 84°. Enjoy it — another round of drizzle returns by Thursday.
