On the lacrosse front, it was a solid day for regional programs. Cornell handled Dartmouth 15-9 to improve to 9-3, keeping pace in what has been a strong season for the Big Red. Syracuse rolled past Colgate 14-7, moving to 11-3 and maintaining their position among the sport’s elite programs. Hobart took a tough loss, falling 13-12 to Massachusetts despite a close fight, dropping the Statesmen to 2-10.
In the pros, the New York Knicks opened their playoff series with a 113-102 win over Atlanta in Game 1, with Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns leading the way. The Yankees had a big afternoon as well, with Cody Bellinger hitting two home runs and driving in five in a 13-4 rout of Kansas City, pushing New York to 12-9.
