The Hobart College tennis team set a program record during the 2025-26 season with nine players earning Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete honors. The Statesmen also received the ITA All-Academic Team Award.

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5. Teams must post a combined GPA of 3.2 or higher to earn the All-Academic Team Award.

Since 2003, Hobart has produced 109 ITA Scholar-Athletes. This year’s recognition marks the 12th time the Statesmen have earned the team academic award.

The nine Hobart players recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes are:

  • Michael Georgelis, first-year, Economics
  • Achilleas Kousaridis, junior, Architectural Studies and Studio Art
  • Tarang Malhotra, senior, Economics and Environmental Studies

  • Tejus Ranadive, first-year, Physics
