For the fourth consecutive year, the Hobart men’s basketball team has earned the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Award.
The Statesmen were among 418 men’s basketball programs across all levels of college basketball to post a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2025-26 academic year.
In addition to the team honor, a program-record seven Hobart student-athletes were named to the NABC Honors Court, which recognizes junior, senior, and graduate student-athletes who maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
The following Statesmen earned Honors Court recognition:
- Gabriel Bergeron, senior, Business Management and Entrepreneurship
- Ashton Khoorchand, junior, Business Management and Entrepreneurship
- Niko Lutz, senior, Sociology
- Alex Moesch, junior, Business Management and Entrepreneurship
- Dorian Paki, junior, Economics
- Jaymon Pysnack, senior, Mathematics and Computer Science
- Axel Traina, senior, Business Management and Entrepreneurship
Pysnack and Traina also received NABC Honors Court recognition last season.
On the court, Hobart finished the 2025-26 season with a 14-11 overall record and an 8-10 mark in Liberty League play, placing seventh in the conference standings.
