On Sunday midnight, a Town of Webster woman was arrested following a traffic stop in the Town of Huron.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Haylee Decker after deputies initially observed her vehicle traveling at speeds over 80 mph in a posted 55 mph zone on Route 104. Upon pulling the vehicle over, deputies administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which Decker allegedly failed. Investigators state she later submitted to a chemical breath test, which revealed her blood alcohol content to be .10%.
Decker has been accused of Driving While Intoxicated Common Law, Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .08% or greater, Speed greater than 55 mph, and operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle.
She was released on traffic citations and is scheduled to appear in the Huron Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
