Throop Man Arrested For Misapplication Of Property

A Throop man was arrested on Thursday afternoon following an incident in Cayuga County.

The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office reports that Matthew Smith, 43, was taken into custody and is accused of misapplication of property, a class A misdemeanor under New York State Penal Law.

Following his arrest by Deputy Wojcikowski, Smith was processed and is scheduled to answer the charge in Throop Town Court at a later date.

 

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
